Collaboration, Living Change, Cloud Strategy and Transition

Remote and distributed leadership

Working in the cloud often means working distributed as well. This poses new challenges to leadership and teams when they need to use their known tools in a different way; but also if they need to introduce new tools to live up to the New Work realities.

Due to my experience working remotely in distributed teams at Google, as well as managing fully remote employees, I know the vagaries of distributed work from all points of view. Based on these experience I support you in sorting through your collection of processes and tools, and where required I help you introduce new tools.

Team and Organisational Development

At the beginnning of every transition to the Cloud, teams annd organizations often face the challenge that they need to re-define the way they are working. Drawing on the experience I made in small and large businesses, I consult and accompany you, your team, or your organisation, when you start taking the necessary steps to change. Together we develop the right mindset to establish DevOps or SRE workflows and bring them to life.

My practical experience with developing and growing teams is bolstered by being an Agile Coach.

Consulting and Developing Your Cloud Strategy

The change from classic on premises or machine centric operations to a cloud based one is often a strategic step to facilitate agile reaction to the ever changing circumstances in today’s chaotic and uncertain world. Together, we take stock of your status quo and develop a goal that will enable your services, products, and organisation to thrive in this environment.

In my work with and for customers I worked on the typical questions and developed solutions to help customers transform their business to be cloud ready.

Consulting on Your Cloud Transition

When cultural and strategic change have are well alive, the foundation for the technical transition has been laid. I supprot your team designing, establishing, and improving your Delivery Pipeline from the developer’s ideas to the cloud – no matter if the target is virtual machines, containers orchestrated with Kubernetes, or Serverless.

Freelancer

The story so far …

After more than two decades as an employee in scientific, media and IT companies, in small (less than 100 people) and large enterprises like Google, I decided against the offer of C level positions in successful German IT companies to strike out as a Freelancer. This way I keep an open mind, learn from many venues, and can share my experience and expertise with a large number of businesses and organizations.
